Kara is a graduate of Youngstown State University with a degree in Food and Nutrition. Kara has spent
more than a decade working with clients in a wellness setting helping to achieve various health related
goals. Through results driven and researched behavior change models, Kara has specialized in
sustainable and customizable weight loss programs, nutrition related medication reduction, healthier
habits for dietary intake, and the development of positive client to food relationships. You will never
need a FAD diet again after working with Kara!
In addition to being a wife and mother to two daughters both under the age of 7, Kara is passionate
about helping others. Kara uses her personal experiences with her own family and the obstacles of being
a working mother -to develop sustainable and realistic programs to help her clients manage their
nutritional goals.
Kara is no stranger to health challenges and has practiced what she preaches. During both of her
pregnancies Kara had Gestational Diabetes and High Blood Pressure, C-section births, and diastasis
postpartum. During both pregnancies Kara exercised and followed a nutritional dietary intake plan for
herself and her two babies. Using lessons learned from both experiences, Kara is more
relatable to her client’s struggles and fears which has allowed her to develop and utilize best practices
for challenges faced by new and expecting mothers.

KRISTA KAPPAS – PT, DPT – DOCTOR OF PHYSICAL THERAPY
Krista is a graduate of Mount Union with a degree in Exercise Science and received her Doctorate in
Physical Therapy from Youngstown State University. In addition to being a Doctor of Physical Therapy
she is also a Pregnancy and Postpartum Corrective Exercise Specialist (PCES) and has
several years of experience working in an outpatient physical therapy clinic for which she is still
currently employed.
During Krista’s career she has aided people with a variety of physical issues including orthopedic injuries,
arthritis, vertigo, and pain management just to name a few. Krista’s skillset allows her to utilize core
rehabilitation and therapy to help you at any stage of life including during pregnancy and postpartum.
Krista is wife and mother with 2 young children under the age of 6. She enjoys helping others
through education of ways to include healthy and safe exercises into a busy daily routine. From body
weight exercises to a fully equipped fitness center, Krista has the knowledge and expertise to develop a
program designed to heal your body!
Krista, during her own pregnancies, had 2 C-section births and also struggles with diastasis postpartum.
Krista overcame her struggles and healed her own core with proper exercise and nutrition. This has
allowed her to gain firsthand knowledge, experience, and most of all, motivation to help others with
similar situations.
